Apple delays mass production of mixed reality headset again
This was announced by well-known analyst Ming Chi Kuo, adding that, most likely, the device will not appear at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

In a Twitter post, Kuo explained that Apple is not very optimistic about its development, citing low demand due to the economic downturn, hardware performance, weight, and high cost. According to the analyst, the price of the headset can reach $3000-4000.
As a result, the company has decided to postpone the launch of mass production until the end of the third quarter of 2023. Accordingly, the previous forecasts for the supply of headsets for the current year will be reduced to 200-300 thousand units, against the previously planned half a million.
It’s worth noting that the analyst’s comment echoes a recent report by The New York Times that claimed that even Apple employees themselves were seriously concerned about the headset’s prospects, calling it a “solution to find the problem.”
