Console GPD Win Mini will be a convenient alternative to Steam Deck

The network has the first details about the portable game console GPD Win Mini in the clamshell form factor. According to the author of the YouTube channel The Phawx, the novelty with productive hardware will be an alternative to Steam Deck for users who find the Valve device too bulky.

According to the source, the GPD Win Mini will receive a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1080p (16:9), a battery with a capacity of 45 Wh and a “laptop” case, the dimensions of which will be 167 x 108 x 25 mm. At the same time, the controls (sticks and buttons) will be located under the screen, and not on the sides of it, which should make using the device more comfortable in comparison with the Valve console.

On the back of the gadget, according to the blogger, there will be analog triggers and ergonomic protrusions for the convenience of holding the console. As for the processor, the information is still contradictory: different sources attribute the device to both AMD Ryzen 7 7840U and Ryzen 5 7540U.

The announcement of the GPD Win Mini is expected in July, and the console could start shipping in October this year. The price of the future novelty is unknown.
