Kubuntu Focus XE Gen 2 Linux laptop with powerful hardware goes on sale
The second generation Kubuntu Focus XE laptop, aimed at developers and advanced users, has entered the market. In addition to the desktop environment of the same name, the novelty is interesting for its powerful processor, good autonomy and a practical metal case.

The matrix covers 90% of the sRGB color space and 72% of NTSC.
Depending on the configuration, the laptop can be based on an Intel Core i5-1240P or Core i7-1260P processor with integrated Iris Xe graphics.
The amount of DDR4-3200 RAM in different versions can range from 8 to 64 GB, and the NVMe SSD with PCIe 4 x 4 (M.2 2280) interface can range from 250 GB to 2 TB.
The battery capacity is 53 Wh, autonomy is declared up to 10 hours, depending on the load on the hardware.
The set of new interfaces includes Ethernet ports, Thunderbolt (DisplayPort 1.4a, Power Delivery), HDMI 1.4b, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, 6-in-1 card reader, Wi-Fi 6 module ( in the M.2 slot) and Bluetooth 5.2, as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack.


The dimensions of the aluminum case of the novelty are 325 x 225 x 17.6 mm. Among other features of the model, the manufacturer notes a pair of built-in speakers with a power of 2 W and a backlit keyboard. The OS is preinstalled with the Kubuntu 22.04 LTS distribution.
Kubuntu Focus XE Gen 2 went on sale on the official website of the company in the US at a price of $895.
