New Cooler Master accessory turns an old laptop into a mini PC
Cooler Master has announced an original product for owners of older or partially defective Framework brand laptops. The flat, oddly shaped case allows you to use laptop components to assemble a miniature system unit that can be hung on a wall or easily placed in a limited space.

The current revision of the case is compatible with Framework Laptop 13 components. Inside there are mounts for the laptop motherboard, as well as space for USB Type-A and Type-C, Ethernet, HDMI, DisplayPort, microSD, Wi-Fi antenna connector and 3.5- mm. audio port. The set is completed with a power button and a wall mount.
Such a solution will allow you to continue using modular hardware when upgrading, or find a use for a laptop with a broken display at no extra cost. Alternatively, you can simply buy a Framework motherboard and build a new inexpensive PC. The Cooler Master case is priced at $39 in the US.

The company also showed off a different case model concept to convert the Laptop 13’s battery into a portable battery, but has yet to reveal a price or announcement date.
