New rating of Windows versions: “seven” is everything, and Win 11 is in no hurry to take the lead
Analytical company Statcounter has published a fresh report on the popularity of various versions of the Windows operating system. The statistics covered the last 12 months – and it turned out to be, although slightly predictable, but still very curious.

According to the service, Windows 10 is still the most popular operating system. It occupies 73.48% of the market, moreover, over the past month, the figure has even grown slightly. In second place is Windows 11, whose share is noticeably smaller – only 20.94%. According to the chart, her popularity is gradually increasing, but very slowly.
Windows 7, by contrast, is rapidly losing ground: from 11.2% in December last year, its market share has fallen to the current 3.73%. Probably, such a sharp decrease in the rating of the OS is due to the end of support from Microsoft. Recently, Valve added fuel to the fire, announcing that the Steam client will soon stop working in older versions of the operating system. All other revisions of Windows occupy tenths of a percent in statistics.
